World Peace Day: Bi-communal event at Çetinkaya stadium

A bi-communal event will take place today, at the buffer zone in line with the 1st of September World Peace Day.
The event organized by the Turkish and Greek Cypriot unions, which are members of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) and the Bi-Communal Peace Initiative for a United Cyprus; in line with the 1st of September World Peace Day will be realized at 7.30 pm at the Çetinkaya Stadium in the Buffer Zone area.
The General Secretary of the World Federation of Trade Union (WFTU) Pambis Kyritsis will be holding a speech during the event and the bi-communal orchestra “Let's Sing Together” will give a concert.
Before the event, Turkish Cypriots will gather at Kuğulu Park and Greek Cypriots will gather at Eleftheria Square at 6.30 pm and will walk to the venue.
In a joint statement by unions which organized the event, a call was issued to all labours to come together and give messages on continuing the common struggle with the target of peace and unification.
