Weather Forecast: Stormy weather to continue! (12th January 2023)

According to the Meteorology Department, today’s weather will be under the influence of a cool and humid air mass and a low-pressure system. Temperatures are expected to be around seasonal norms, and winds will be northerly and easterly moderate becoming stronger at times. The weather is expected to be partly cloudy with thundery showers. Temperatures will generally be around 13-16ºC inland and on the coast. The temperature in the capital Lefkoşa will be around 15ºC.
The Met Office has issued two separate weather warnings for rain and wind in places across various regions until 6 pm today.
The Meteorology Department also announced that gale winds that started at sea are expected to last until 1pm on Saturday.
