Tatar “Turning back from our new policy is not possible”

Turkish Cypriot leader reiterated that his new policy on Cyprus is based on sovereign equality and equal international status and that an agreement can only be possible with the cooperation of two separate independent states in Cyprus.
Tatar said, "It is not possible for us to turn back from this policy." TC leader Tatar gave a conference entitled "The Struggle for Existence of Turks in Cyprus" at Osmaniye Korkut Ata University. “THE EXISTENCE OF TURKISH TROOPS IS OUR RED LINE” Speaking of the vital importance of the Turkish state in the Eastern Mediterranean, Tatar said that the continuation of the Turkish military presence was a deterrent force and was the red line for them.
Referring to the proposals he submitted to the Greek Cypriot side, Tatar underlined that the Republic of Türkiye was behind them, "We will soon see whether we will receive a response or not", Tatar said.
