Tatar “No response from Anastasiades yet”

Voice Kıbrıs Haber
TC leader Ersin Tatar said that within the framework of the proposals put forward by the Turkish Cypriot side with the new policy based on sovereign equality and equal national (international) status, it is possible to reach the desired point.
Pointing out that there had not yet been an official response to his cooperation proposals conveyed to the Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Anastasiades via the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Tatar said that the proposals put forward were created so as not to put the burden of the authority of one side on to the other.
Tatar noted that more beneficial collaborations could be made in Cyprus based on equality.
Stating that he was informed that although the proposals of the Turkish Cypriot side were conveyed to the Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Anastasiades an official response was not yet received, he said.
Tatar referred to statements made by GC spokespersons that they will only meet if proposals serve a bi-zonal, bi-communal and federal basis within the framework of UN parameters, including the GC side’s confidence-building measures. “We can't accept this” Tatar is cited as saying.
