Primary and secondary public and private schools under the Ministry of National Education will begin their second term on Monday. Approximately 52 thousand students and 6 thousand teachers will begin classes. The second term of the 2022-2023 Academic Year, which was planned to start on Thursday (16th February) following the 15-day school holiday break, was postponed to February 20 due to the earthquake disaster that occurred on February 6 in Türkiye, by a decision of the Council of Ministers. The first term of the school year ended with the distribution of report cards at all schools on January 31. Primary schools will complete the second term on June 16 and secondary schools on June 8 for the 3-month summer school holidays.
