Political parties willing to contribute to the creation of a positive political atmosphere

Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot political parties have expressed their continued willingness to regularly meet in the format of the bi-communal dialogue under the auspices of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in order to contribute to the creation of a positive political atmosphere.

Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot political party leaders and representatives held a bi-communal meeting at Ledra Palace on 6 July 2022.

According to the joint statement sent from the Slovak Embassy, “Political parties will participate in two meetings under the auspices of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in order to contribute to creating a positive political atmosphere, increasing dialogue and trust on the Island, and discussing the issues of common concern of both communities in order to find a fair, comprehensive and viable solution to the Cyprus problem. They repeated their request to meet regularly in the format of communal dialogue.
