Parliament convened for the last time before summer recess

The Republics Assembly of Parliament convened for the last time today at 11.20 am under the chairmanship of Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre, before the summer recess.
Republican Turkish Party (CTP) leader and Lefkoşa deputy Tufan Erhürman who spoke on behalf of the CTP will propose for a parliamentary investigation to be carried out as to why the forest fire broke out in the Merslinlik region on the 21st of June, 2022.
The Republics Assembly of Parliament routinely convenes on the first working day of October and continues as usual until the last working day of June.
The Parliament Assembly can convene for an extraordinary session on the request of the President, Parliamentary Speaker, Council of Ministers or a minimum of 10 deputies.
