FM "GC administration attempts to preserve status quo"

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that South Cyprus follows a policy of protecting the status quo on the island and keeping the Turkish Cypriot people living under inhumane isolationS.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a written statement referred to statements made by the Greek Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the meetings between TC leader Ersin Tatar and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. “This statement shows that the Greek Cypriot Administration is not the sole representative of the Island and that it is obvious that the Greek Cypriot Administration is uncomfortable that there are two states on the Island.”
