Fire in Girne!

One person was injured and material damage occurred in a fire that broke out in an apartment building in Girne due to an explosion of a cylinder.
According to a police report, the fire occurred following the explosion of a cylinder at around 3 pm today, when 39-year-old Kenan Öztürk was installing roof insulation on an apartment building on 19 Mayıs Street in Girne.
Reports say that Öztürk was heating the tar with the cylinder to lay the insulation when the cylinder caught fire and exploded.
The fire was extinguished by the locals.
The glass of a water heater panel was damaged by the heat.
Kenan Öztürk who received hospital treatment for the burns was later discharged.
