Battle continues against sparks of fire in some places

Head of the Fire Department of the Police General Directorate, Ramadan Gürpınar announced that the fire, which has been continuing for four days now, has been brought under control, “But it is too soon to say that it is completely over," he added.

Speaking to the Turkish News Agency Cyprus (TAK), Head of the Fire Department Gürpınar said that although the fire is under control it is not over yet and that it was too early to say anything definite.

Stating that efforts were continuing to prevent the sparks of the fire from spreading to the areas that have not been burned, Gürpınar said that the battle against the fire is continuing from the air and the ground.
