30 tons of tobacco harvested in the Mesarya region

It was reported that pipe tobacco produced for the first time in the Mesarya region was delivered to the Karpaz Tobacco Cooperative. Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Dursun Oğuz, held on-the-spot inspections during the delivery. According to information by the Ministry, the 30 tons of pipe tobacco planted 4 months ago for the first time was harvested in the Mesarya region. The harvest was delivered to Karpaz Tobacco Cooperative by Bafra LTD yesterday. “30 tons of pipe tobacco harvest was delivered to the Karpaz Tobacco Cooperative as an export product. This is a very important development for us,” Minister Oğuz said during the tobacco delivery at the Karpaz Tobacco Factory. Oğuz stated that to meet the overseas tobacco demand, the Karpaz Tobacco Cooperative imports tobacco from Lebanon and then exports the tobacco to America after its processing stage.
